Home-lab project

Explore civic requests from intake to public updates.

CRT โ€” Civic Request Tracker โ€” is an active home-lab project for public request intake, review and approval, department routing, staff assignments, work orders, material and cost tracking, reports, and public status/map workflows.

Workflow areas under exploration

Public request intake

Reports include contact, type, address, pin-drop, visibility, and tracking-reference fields.

Review and routing

Review states, department routing, selected reviewers, and audit trails support a measured intake process.

Assignments and work orders

Staff assignments, scoped work, due dates, completion notes, materials, and costs are modeled in the project.

Public status and map data

Only explicitly public, sanitized status, closure, and map updates are intended for the public-facing workflow.

Behind the Curtain

CRT uses Supabase and PostgreSQL schema scripts, Supabase Authentication, and row-level security policies. The implementation includes public-submission guardrails, department and staff roles, reporting views, and a public-map data feed. Current status: active home-lab project.
